Vietnam stands out as a low-cost travel destination in South Asia. Reasons for choosing this as a must-visit country of travelers are pretty the same: fast processing Vietnam visa online application, affordable luxury resorts, beautiful landscapes, and delicious and healthy food at low prices.

The North area of Vietnam is an ideal place to explore natural sights and ancient culture. From Hanoi – a unique combination of traditional senses of a capital and the dynamic atmosphere, just with 20 dollars, visitors can take a city tour with a local guide on foot or by motorbike. Also, cheap accommodation makes Hanoi as a budget-friendly city where tourists can book a room for less than 70 dollars per night. Hanoi has continuously been on the lists of most valuable destinations. Food is a serious business in the country where a street meal and a beer can cost the same price as coffee from Starbucks. Thanks to the help of a local tour guide, foreign tourists will be taken on an adventure to taste a variety of street food like pho or banh mi.

Head to mountainous and highland areas, Sapa and Ha Giang are great places to explore the authentic culture of Vietnam’s ethnic minorities. Natural landscapes in Ninh Binh, Ha Long Bay or amazing national parks in lovely islands are also perfect alternative places to be included in tourist’s travel itinerary.

Meanwhile, the central area is ideal for low-budget travelers. According to Green Visa team, Da Nang is known as the most worth living city in Vietnam. The price here is much lower than Hanoi with better services. Hue with valued heritage will bring visitors back to one of the golden time of Vietnam history.

Keep heading towards the South and Ho Chi Minh City is a great place travelers cannot miss. This most modern and dynamic city will not be different from other cities if visitors do not take part in the nightlife and crazy shopping activities. Skyscrapers, nightclubs, and cafes are top spots for young locals and foreigners. From Ho Chi Minh City, taking a boat or coach trip to discover another part of the South called Mekong Delta is also exciting experiences. Tien Giang or Can Tho with tropical fruits and beautiful rice fields cannot be missed for travelers who like peaceful atmosphere and friendly villagers.

In recent years, Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership has been established to enhance the cooperation in culture, tourism, and jobs of two sides. Liz Weston: How to know when it's OK to spend

Mar 25, 2019

Some people are much better savers than spenders. That can become a problem. Certified financial planner DeDe Jones recalls clients, retired schoolteachers, who loved to travel but kept putting off the trip to China and Southeast Asia they'd always wanted to take. "The husband started having health issues, and they missed the opportunity," says Jones, managing director of Innovative Financial in Lakewood, Colorado. "The widow is doing fine financially, but is feeling regret." The ability to delay gratification is important for building wealth. But gratification delayed too long can leave us unhappy with the results. Many of us experience this...

Medicare for all legislation has thorny issues

Mar 25, 2019

WASHINGTON — The "Medicare for All" legislation that's become a clarion call for progressives has two little-noticed provisions that could make it even more politically perilous for 2020 Democratic presidential candidates. The legislation from White House hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders, along with a similar measure in the House, lifts curbs on government health insurance for people in the country illegally and revokes longstanding restrictions on taxpayer-funded abortions. Embracing the changes will give Democratic candidates a boost with the party's liberal base in a wide-open primary fight. But such divisive issues could complicate things for an eventual nominee seeking voters in...

Treasury grants further relief on IRS withholding penalties

Mar 25, 2019

WASHINGTON — The Treasury Department announced Friday that it is expanding again the relief it grants taxpayers who had too little in income taxes withheld from their paychecks in the first year of a sweeping tax overhaul. Treasury said that taxpayers will be able to avoid penalties for paying too little in taxes as long as they paid at least 80 percent of what they owed the government. That represents a reduction from the regular threshold to avoid penalties of paying 90 percent of what is owed. Treasury had earlier this year reduced the normal 90 percent threshold to 85...

Mother Russia: South Florida sees a boom in 'birth tourism'

Mar 25, 2019

MIAMI — Every year, hundreds of pregnant Russian women travel to the United States to give birth so that their child can acquire all the privileges of American citizenship. They pay anywhere from $20,000 to sometimes more than $50,000 to brokers who arrange their travel documents, accommodations and hospital stays, often in Florida. While the cost is high, their children will be rewarded with opportunities and travel advantages not available to their Russian countrymen. The parents themselves may benefit someday as well. And the decidedly un-Russian climate in South Florida and the posh treatment they receive in the maternity wards...

Consumers should soon see benefit of Fed's patience on rates

Mar 25, 2019

NEW YORK — So much for those worries about rising interest rates. Just a few months ago, rising rates were bearing down on everyone from home buyers to stock investors after the Federal Reserve put through seven quarter-point increases in 2017 and 2018. This year, the Fed has changed course. In January, it opened the door to a "patient" approach to further rate increases. Then on Wednesday the central bank surprised the market when it said it may not raise rates at all during 2019. The move — or anticipated lack of moves — reverberated immediately through the bond market,...
